The process

How it works

Four steps — from the first meeting to the moment the memory joins the home. Plus answers to the questions everyone asks.

1
Step 1

Reach out on any platform

We'll consult and together choose the design, imagery, and inscription that fits your home.

2
Step 2

Preparation & stencil

We prepare a precise cubit-by-cubit stencil of the chosen design.

3
Step 3

Exposing the concrete

We carefully remove the plaster layer and reveal the raw concrete beneath.

4
Step 4

Artistic hand-carving

We hand-carve the imagery and inscriptions — every chisel stroke is unique.

Frequently asked questions

Good to know
before we start

Didn't find your answer? We'd love to talk.

Every piece is carved directly into the existing wall of your home, so every wall tells a different story. While exposing and carving, things that were hidden may come to light: different building materials, old repairs, anchors, pipes or electrical conduits. In every such case we work the finding into the design or conceal it as well as we can. Because of this, no wall can be promised completely free of the marks of its past. That is exactly what makes every cubit a one-of-a-kind piece, inseparable from the place where it was born.

Every project is quoted individually — contact us for a personal estimate.
